The keynote speaker for the afternoon was Erin Brockovich, the legal researcher turned activist who shot to fame through the 2000 eponymous film. Erin took the podium after Jennifer Richardson, an Interfaith graduate who shared her testimonial. The entire room was teary-eyed as Jennifer told her story of becoming homeless after a failed marriage and a host of financial hardships that followed, including having to sell her dream house.
As Erin approached the stage, she thanked Jennifer for her strength and courage to tell her story. Erin shared her own inspirational story of overcoming struggles and expressed “that you must realize who YOU are, good and bad, before you can begin to know where you are going.”
