Due to COVID-19, Interfaith Family Services has limited its internship opportunities to the ones listed below to ensure adequate supervision, appropriate social distancing, and intern safety. Interns are asked to wear masks and gloves while on site and temperatures will be checked daily as well. Facilities Intern

Summer 2020, Three Days per Week

Unpaid

Facilities Interns assist with sorting and stocking food pantry shelves, help pre-pack distribution bags, sort clothing donations for the boutique, stock racks, and clean and organize as donations come in. Facilities Interns also assist with move-in preparations for apartments, which include cleaning and wiping down all furniture pieces, pulling pantry items from a non-perishable list, washing dishes being placed in the apartment, and making beds.

Family Services Interns meet with clients to identify and evaluate career interests, employment readiness, and associated qualifications. They coach clients on various employment skills and help develop documents needed for employment including resumes and cover letters. They also coach clients on job searching, networking, interviewing, and refer clients to available positions. They assist Career Services Specialists with coordinating and conducting employment preparation and career information workshops; create, develop, and revise workshop materials, handouts, and packets. Family Services Interns also plan, implement and coordinate assigned program services and projects as well as assist with client recruitment activities.

$200/week

The Marketing & PR Intern is responsible for promoting our onsite Moody Family Childcare Center for ages 0-5. Through researching and visiting local companies that hire large numbers of essential workers, the intern will connect with HR managers to promote our center to employees who need childcare. Office space in our Admin building will be provided.
