Facilities Interns assist with sorting and stocking food pantry shelves, help pre-pack distribution bags, sort clothing donations for the boutique, stock racks, and clean and organize as donations come in. Facilities Interns also assist with move-in preparations for apartments, which include cleaning and wiping down all furniture pieces, pulling pantry items from a non-perishable list, washing dishes being placed in the apartment, and making beds.
Family Services Interns meet with clients to identify and evaluate career interests, employment readiness, and associated qualifications. They also coach clients on job searching, networking, interviewing, and refer clients to available positions. They assist Career Services Specialists with coordinating and conducting employment preparation and career information workshops; create, develop, and revise workshop materials, handouts, and packets. Family Services Interns also plan, implement and coordinate assigned program services and projects as well as assist with client recruitment activities.
